PM candidate Mishustin said promises support to Yandex

MOSCOW, Jan 16 (PRIME) -- The candidate for the position of Russian prime minister, Mikhail Mishustin, has praised Internet company Yandex and promised assistance, Sergei Obukhov, secretary of the Communist Party’s central committee, said on Thursday in his Telegram channel.

“He praised Yandex and promises support to it,” Obukhov said.

On Wednesday, the Russian government resigned. President Vladimir Putin put forward Mishustin as a future head of the government.

The news propelled Yandex’s common shares on the Moscow Exchange up 3.16% to 2,775 rubles as of 11.24 a.m.
